About Thugs Nerds
The “Thugs Nerds” project was created by a major French tattoo studio that wanted to connect with artists from around the world.
They wanted to establish shared standards and make it easier for their resident artists to travel and work in different studios.
They realized it was difficult to keep up with everything happening in the tattoo world — seminars, conventions, exhibitions, and more.
That’s when it became clear : we needed an app built for a global professional tattoo community.

Thugs Nerds was founded by the team at “Sorry Mom” in Toulouse, France. This group of a dozen artists wanted to open their doors to tattooists from around the world and benefit from these exchanges to travel the globe.

Yes! Access to the app is free once your application is approved. Some advanced features, however, require a membership fee. This fee depends on your status — tattoo artist or studio.
Only member tattoo studios or event organizers can post job offers. Member tattoo artists can apply to guest or residency offers.
Right now, we’re focusing on Europe. Our goal is to expand the community globally. In the medium term, we plan to cover 14 countries by June 2023.
Access to the community is free, but some features require a membership. It’s an annual fee. You can pay by card, cash, or cryptocurrency.
No, there’s no commitment. You can unsubscribe from the app at any time. All your data will be deleted upon cancellation.
